My favourite years playing runescape was 2004-2006. It was perfect then. I would argue that the thre biggest RS Killers were: Trade limits / wildy removal, EOC, and the biggest culprit of all - the grand exchange. The grand exchange completley ruined internal economy on a grand scale. Terrible terrible terrible.

Incredible video and you managed to fit a lot of depth into what is actually quite a short video for 22 years of history. I started playing in late 2004/early 2005. Sadly I lost my original account in 2009 which had a total level of about 1100. Played a few days here and there over the next 2 years but ditched after that. Recently discovered the game again and have been playing a lot of osrs. Your video covers a lot of stuff that I never knew about or remembered

The reason for the "recycling bin" of monsters at 0,0,0 is a practice called Object pooling. It's way more efficient to spawn npcs or objects and move them somewhere OOB and reset their stats then to destroy and create them all the time.
